I've actually been impressed with his play in the preseason. Looks more active and coordinated than I once thought. These Rockets might surprise some people.

Asik fouls too much. Defensively he's a beast. Offensively a lot more to ask.
And agree on DMo he plays too soft. We can't have too many soft guys on the team

I'm excited about Rockets bringing in Harden, although it's going to be interesting to see how him and Lin work together...besides that, I feel like it was a solid trade, K-Mart fell off last season, and Lamb is should be a good shooter but he won't ever have the playmaking ability of Harden...1sts are meh

Omer's friggin' amazing man. The guy can come in, put up no numbers whatsoever and change the entire game. Bulls are gonna miss him a lot. Keeping Taj is more important though longterm.

Love this move for Houston btw. I think Harden and Lin will fit in well. eh don't know that I agree there. Both are guys that love to have the ball in their hands. Harden works a bit better off ball than guys like Melo do, but he still is at his best when he gets to handle the ball.

The only first I regret giving is the Raptors since it'll be a sure lotto other than that I'm really happy with the trade.
Seriously a chance to get a top 20 player is really good.

We can't have too many soft guys on the team Even on offense he has looked fairly competent. Saw him catch a couple tough passes and finish well.. Even one time he caught the ball off the roll and threw it in the corner for a 3... Great vision. Shocking

But if Lin isn't handling than he's doing...what? Not like he's great for spacing the floor. His value is pretty much all tied up in his ability to create a shot. Without dominating the ball, he's not providing much.
Needs to get his turnovers down either way though or he's just about useless.

I mean, Lin will do it the majority of the time, but just like in NYK he needs a guy to take some pressure off of him. Houston didn't have any play-makers/handlers before this trade, so it's perfect. If Harden can succeed with Russell Westbrook, he can succeed with Lin.

I actually question how they'll work together since both needs the ball to be effective.
Lin can't shoot don't trust him with that he's best at slashing just like Harden hopefully they can make something work

Harden worked with Westbrook because Westbrook was really, really good. He'll "work" with Lin too, but the Rockets will be better when Harden handles it than when Lin handles it, which means that Harden should be doing the majority of the handling.
That's the problem with guys like Lin. If you're going to dominate the ball, you either have to be a great player, or you have to be in a 20 min off the bench 6th man type role. I think Lin could be a good player, I don't think he's a great player or ever will be. In that sense, there's no reason you should have him handling the ball rather than Harden.

We'll see what Harden can do as a primary option. He hasn't yet proved himself either in that aspect.

will be fun to see regardless.
This is why I paid for full league pass instead of the 5 team thing. Would have had 0 desire to watch Houston prior to this trade (I'll always root for them because of Morey, but they were shaping up to be petty dreadful to watch prior to this deal), now I'll make sure to catch Rocket games as often as I can.
