Lillard looks like the next Billups.
GGreen's looked real solid in preseason, last season looking like less and less of a fluke scoring the ball. 6MOY!

Bayless was actually quite good offensively last year. 110 oRtg, 17.7 PER, still only 23. He never really had enough PG skills to make it as a full time starter there, but he should be a really, really good combo guard off the bench going forward.
Lillard's much better as a floor general than Bayless though. You can compare the rest of their games, I guess, but they have very different body types and strengths/weaknesses.

Brandon Roy Shelden Williams Randy Foye, (all together)

Waiters was a terrible pick. That isn't based off 5 games in preseason, that's based off everything we saw from him in college. He is not a top 5 talent. He may well be a fine player in the NBA, but Cleveland's rational there was terrible.

trying to figure out where I said Lillard is a star already, or that his preseason stats mean he is going to dominate this year...oh wait I didnt
all I said was that so far, what we expected out of Lillard, the efficiency and shooting ability, seems to translate pretty well to the next level, and that backup caliber combo guard according to Svedda means nothing, according to people a lot smarter than Svedda seem to think he can contribute at a higher level than that.

He may well be a fine player in the NBA, but Cleveland's rational there was terrible. ok so... TRob -- same position as Tristan...looks solid but benching Tristan already would have been awk Barnes -- no Lillard -- picking a backup PG ok Ross -- pretty sure he's not a top 5 player Drummond -- full of question marks, quite a few teams passed but ok Waiters was a terrible pick

Waiters was a horrible pick that high, saying no to Barnes just says it all, thats not a reason. Barnes doesn't have the slashing ability of Waiters or ball handling, which is important in Scott's style of offense

I personally expected them to go with Drummond at 4. Stylistically he'd of been a nice fit with Kyrie, he's the type of boom or bust guy you should be going for at 4.
Barnes would have been a better choice even though I'm not high on him, to me his upside is as high as Waiters and he doesn't have nearly as much risk. Same goes for Robinson, and you don't not draft him because you have Tristan. Sunk cost, don't compound your losses.
If they really wanted Waiters though, or didn't like what was available at 4, they should have dealt back and picked up something. No reason to stick around at 4 and make a major reach like that.

Need two to tango Drummond is like a 5 year project...sadly we need to make sure we can convince Kyrie to reup long-term in a few seasons. Not to mention in Cavs workouts TRob absolutely destroyed Drummond and his interviews were terrible.
